Dr. Jacqui O'Kane Joins Southern Lux Health & Wellness as a Collaborating Physician for Kelley Blake, FNP-C. This role allows Dr. O'Kane to support a successful small business while expanding her influence as a recognized health leader to a broader area.
A native of Marietta, GA, Dr. O'Kane holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Furman University and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is board-certified in Family Medicine and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians (FAAFP) and the Academy of Wilderness Medicine (FAWM).
Dr. O'Kane served in the U.S. Air Force Medical Corps, where she was promoted to Major and earned a Distinguished Service Medal. She served as a primary care manager (PCM) at Moody Air Force Base (AFB), GA. In her role as Medical Director and Pain Champion, Dr. O'Kane advocated for the holistic approach to healing from physical and psychological trauma, emphasizing the mind-body-spirit connection.
Upon separating from the Air Force in June 2020, Dr. O'Kane collaborated with South Georgia Medical Center (SGMC) to establish a new family medicine clinic in rural Nashville, GA. Despite the challenges of opening mid-pandemic, she grew the patient empanelment from 0 to around 3,000 patients. Although she resigned from SGMC in 2023, Dr. O'Kane is proud of the clinic's ongoing success.
Dr. O’Kane has recently established her own practice, White Rose Comprehensive Care. The vision of White Rose is to provide “modern family medicine rooted in tradition” utilizing both telemedicine and home visits.
Dr. O'Kane resides in Valdosta, GA, with her husband Stephen, their two daughters, and plethora of pets. She is a published poet; three of her works appear in peer-reviewed medical journals. A self-proclaimed “leadership junkie,” she has attained several leadership certifications. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, traveling, and restorative aerial yoga.
